Generating sparse navigation graphs for microscopic pedestrian simulation models

چکیده

For our contribution we describe the extension of a microscopic model for pedestrian simulation that introduces hybrid navigation strategies based on graphs. To do so, we introduce a navigation graph layer serving as the basis for different routing algorithms to map individual pedestrian behaviours. The automatic generation of a reduced visibility graph to be used as a navigation graph is described in detail. The paper is concluded with a comparison of simulations without a navigation graph and simulations with the graph layer as an extension, where a dynamic routing algorithm is applied.
